Virginia Mountain Mint is a clumping native perennial with dense branching stems covered with narrow dark green toothed foliage a strong aroma if crushed.  The axillary clusters of tiny two-lipped white flowers speckled with purple bloom from mid to late summer.  Best flowering occurs in full sun and moist well-drained soils.
