Mouseketeer Hosta — Miniature Blue-Green & Chartreuse Shade Perennial
Tiny but Mighty — Mouseketeer Hosta
Great things come in small packages, and Mouseketeer Hosta (Hosta x 'Mouseketeer') is proof. This petite, shade-loving perennial forms a tidy mound of eye-catching rounded leaves — rich blue-green on the edges with a bright chartreuse flame at the center — that brings bold contrast to shady spots without taking up much space. In midsummer, slender flowering stems rise above the foliage bearing delicate lavender bell-shaped blooms that attract butterflies and pollinators. Perfect for small gardens, containers, and woodland edges where big impact is needed in a compact footprint.

Care & Maintenance
Low maintenance overall. Snails and slugs can cause serious damage — monitor regularly and treat early. Watch for foliar nematodes, which cause interveinal browning. If plants show signs of Hosta Virus X (HVX), tobacco rattle virus, or tomato ring spot virus, remove and destroy them immediately to prevent spread. Otherwise, a very easy and rewarding plant to grow.
Landscape Uses
Perfect for accents or mass plantings in borders, woodland gardens, naturalized areas, rock gardens, and containers. Its miniature size makes it ideal for edging, fairy gardens, and tight shady spots under trees or along foundations.
Great Companion Plants
Coral Bells, Bleeding Heart, Lungwort
