Clematis 'EviGsy153' - Guernsey Flute™ Clematis
Guernsey Flute Clematis is a compact reblooming deciduous perennial vine that can be used for climbing or a groundcover with green pointed foliage. Abundant large 5" white flowers with red anthers bloom first in late spring to mid summer and again in late summer. Grows best with partial sun on the roots and full sun on the vines, moist well-drained soils. Needs support to climb. Guernsey Flute gets is name from its characteristic of holding just open buds, that resemble champagne flutes, for longer.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance. Water regularly, do not let soil dry out. It will need support if used for climbing. Prune back dead or weak vines in late winter and trim back remaining vines to first buds seen. Potential diseases include wilt (can be fatal), powdery mildew, and rust. Potential pests include scale, mites, weevils, earwigs, and slugs.
