Common Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Common Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a mounding herbaceous perennial with upright stems and aromatic, fern-like green foliage. Flat-topped clusters of small white flowers bloom from late spring into fall, attracting pollinators and adding a light, airy contrast to mixed plantings.
Heat and drought tolerance make it a useful choice for sunny rock gardens, water-wise landscapes, naturalized areas, and cutting gardens. Pair with rosemary or dwarf fountain grass for contrasting textures.

Care and garden use
This low-maintenance perennial can develop floppy stems in rich, moist soil. Taller stems may need staking if grown in light shade. Cut back in spring before flowering to reduce height, or after flowering to encourage additional blooms.
Watch for occasional stem rot, rust, and powdery mildew. Use in grouped plantings, wildlife gardens, or containers with good drainage.
